Hello San Diego! You are looking for non toxic flea control for your dogs and cats, and you keep finding it! San Diego wins the Summer 2009 Award for the most Wondercide used in a local area. You’ve provided the most Wondercide Reviews and product feedback too! If you live in San Diego, California, consider yourself fortunate to be among so many people who truly care about their environment, their pets, and their children!

It’s amazing to talk to all of the “converted” users about the differences between traditional pest control products and Wondercide. Folks from San Diego seem to really grasp the concept of treating the environment (your property) and spraying your pets down as needed…as opposed to putting drops on the kneck of your pets that resulted in one or both of the following: crazy side effects, ineffective results.

Thank you for your support San Diego! If you live in the local area, go by and visit A Pets Best Friend. They are avid users of many Wondercide products and offer it locally. On their site, you can also take the Dog Food Analysis Test to make sure you are feeding your pets quality pet food, not big box food. Tell Diane we sent you!

Sometimes it’s best to step away from a problem, look at it from a nontraditional perspective, and determine an alternative way to achieve success. That is exactly what a group of local business women have done for green, cost conscience, pest control products.

Houston is a city known as the Energy Capital of the World, but is also a progressive city where environmental and green initiatives abound. It’s entirely possible for homeowners and pet owners to find local products that are new, natural and safe for the whole family.

With hot annual temperatures and high relative humidity, Houston is the perfect environment for pesky fleas, ticks and mosquitoes to breed and quickly take over our lives. Of course, the huge water roaches Houston is famous for are a force to be reckoned with in their own right. So, what do we do if we don’t want to use chemicals on our pets and the property where we live? Sometimes it’s best to step away from a problem, look at it from a nontraditional perspective, and determine an alternative way to achieve success. That is exactly what a group of local business women have done for green, cost conscious, pest control products.

Understandably, pesticides were long thought of as the lesser of two evils. Most of us are familiar with the “mosquito trucks” emitting a fog of pesticides in the evenings. Many of us with pest control services are told the protocol is necessary and safe. In truth, we have long been warned of the hazardous effects of pesticide use in and around our homes, children, and animal companions. But, we certainly can’t have fleas on our pets or mosquitoes making a meal of our children. Recently, there has been an ever increasing amount of data on the side effects of these chemicals and it’s making local and national headlines. Stories related to pesticide use regarding Autism, ADD and ADHD in children, Alzheimer’s in adults, to illness and death of dogs and cats using topical flea & tick controls, make it all too obvious that it’s time we start asking the tough questions.

So what do we use? What can we do? Until recently, there weren’t any alternatives to traditional products like spot on flea and tick controls for pets, or home, lawn and garden pest control. Now, there is WONDERCIDE. It’s like pesticide, but wonderfully, not.

Wondercide is a proven, non toxic alternative to traditional, chemical pesticides. All of the products are certified Organic by the USDA, made with Human Food Grade Ingredients, and have a 100% insect kill rate within seconds. You’ve heard the old adage, “Treat the Source not the Symptom” and that’s exactly how Wondercide works. It is a biological control which eliminates the egg layer of the insect life cycle. Did you know that for every adult flea you see there are 95% more in egg, larvae and pupae stages? By eliminating 95% of the life cycle that will hatch in your home and lawn, you control the pest population and thereby protect your loved ones from invasion. It’s that simple.

You or service professionals can apply BioDefense™ ($35) indoors after cleaning. After lawn maintenance, spray the lawn, plants and vegetables with EcoTreat™ ($25) Organic Pest Control. Wondercide EcoTreat™ comes in a ready to use sprayer that attaches to your garden hose and is simply applied by watering your plants and grass. With over 500,000 mosquito misting systems and lawn sprinkler systems in the Houston Metro, EcoTreat Pro™ was formulated and approved for use in all of them. EVOLV™ ($25) Flea and Tick spray for pets kills fleas and ticks on contact. It can quickly be applied once a week or as needed for the dog park and other uncontrolled environments. Unlike other products, EVOLV contains a unique moisturizer that heals hot spots and relieves skin conditions, allergies, and constant scratching. On your next visit to the groomer, local pet store or veterinarian, tell them you read about Wondercide in Houston Pet Talk and you want to make the switch!

Bed bugs usually bite people at night while they are sleeping. They feed by piercing the skin with an elogated beack through which they withdraw blood. Engorgement takes about three to 10 minutes, yet the person seldom knows they are being bitten.

The bugs are efficient hitchhikers and are usually transported in on luggage, clothing, beds, furniture, and other items. This is a particular problem for hotels, motels and apartments, where turnover of occupants is constant. Bed bugs are small, cryptic and agile, escaping detection after crawling into suitcases, boxes and belongings.

Bed bugs can live in almost any crevice or protected location. The most common place to find them is the bed. Bed bugs often hide within seams, tufts and crevices of the mattress, box spring, bed frame and headboard.

Other common places to find bed bugs include: along and under the edge of wall-to-wall carpeting (especially behind beds and furniture); cracks in wood molding; ceiling-wall junctures; behind wall-mounted picture frames, mirrors, switch plates and outlets; under loose wallpaper; amongst clothing and clutter stored in closets; and inside clocks, phones, televisions and smoke detectors.

bed bugs readily hide in small crevices, they may accompany (as stowaways) luggage, furniture, clothing, pillows, boxes, and other such objects when these are moved between apartments, homes and hotels

How do bed bugs invade a home?
Because bed bugs readily hide in small crevices, they may accompany (as stowaways) luggage, furniture, clothing, pillows, boxes, and other such objects when these are moved between apartments, homes and hotels. Used furniture, particularly bed frames and mattresses, are of greatest risk of harboring bed bugs and their eggs. Thus, one should carefully scrutinize and consider the history of any used furniture, particularly ‘street’ items so plentiful at the beginning and end of each academic year. Because they readily survive for many months without feeding, bed bugs may already be present in apparently ‘vacant’ and ‘clean’ apartments. Bed bugs can wander between adjoining apartments through voids in walls and holes though which wires and pipes pass.
