How Does it Work?
Wondercide's BioDefense® specialized formula of Organic Cedar Oil and Hydrated Silica dissolves the insect egg and larvae eliminating the next generation of insects. The particle size of the product when used in a fogger is very small. It is able to penetrate all areas of the home. The aroma of cedar to insects is like that of ammonia to humans. All insects breathe through their bodies and close their breathing pores when contacted with BioDefense®. They suffocate and die. BioDefense is a Non Toxic, contact insecticide that has a biological rather than neurological effect.
In most cases, fleas and ticks will be completely eliminated with one treatment. With this application method it is easy to get rid of fleas. Getting rid of mites can be more difficult. Depending on the type of mite and duration of infestation, severe cases might need repeat fogging applications over a few months.
How Long Does it Last?
For infestations (many fleas or ticks seen on animals & jumping on humans), it is best to treat all indoor and outdoor areas for complete elimination. Fogging with BioDefense® will eliminate insects immediately with a lengthy residual. As long as pets & people coming and going don't bring in new fleas, you can fog just once a year or as often as needed. To achieve this, treat your lawn with EcoTreat™ every 4 weeks and keep your animal companion treated with Evolv™ on a weekly basis.
To get rid of fleas, get rid of ticks, or get rid of mites, use BioDefense® in the Fogger. Vacuum before treatment. Do not vacuum for 72 hours after treatment, which will allow the solution to fully penetrate and dissolve any eggs, larvae, and pupae in the environment. Fogging with BioDefense™ allows the solution to reach all areas of the home in humidity size droplets. One fogging typically eliminates pests completely. If an area didn't receive enough fog or if there is a severe infestation, additional treatments may be needed. Safe for every day use.
