During Government Shutdown, Wondercide is Open

You can't visit national parks, landmarks or memorials. The National Zoo in Washington D.C is closed. Seafood and dairy products aren't getting inspected because FDA inspectors aren't working. Since the United States government shutdown began on October 1, many government offices are shuttered and roughly 800,000 nonessential public sector employees are home without pay.

What can you do during a government shutdown?

Order from Wondercide, of course!

Shop Wondercide Natural Products

Contrary to popular belief, the day-to-day operations of the United States Postal Service aren't affected by the government shutdown because these operations aren't funded by taxpayer dollars. Private companies such as FedEx and UPS will also continue to operate normally.

This means that you can order all your favorite Wondercide products with no fear of shipping delays. We'll be processing orders as normal. If you order before 3pm on a business day, your order will ship that day.

If you order after 3 pm or on a non-business day, your order will ship the next business day. We recognize that you have a life outside of online shopping, so here's a quick rundown of what is and isn't open during the government shutdown:

Both passenger and freight air travel will continue.

More than 14,000 air traffic controllers were ordered to remain on the job without pay.

Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment benefits will (probably) continue.

When the government last shut down in 1995, these payments continued going out. It looks like this will happen in 2013 too. However, new applications may be slowed or stopped.

National parks and landmarks will close.

These locations have been shuttered since the government shutdown took effect on October 1. Free museums, like the Smithsonian and the Holocaust Museum, are also closed.

Mortgage loans and first-time home buyer assistance (FHA) will continue.

However, small business loans will stop. Payment of Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans could also be delayed.

FDA food inspections will stop.

FDA workers inspect seafood and dairy products. USDA food inspectors, who inspect red meat and poultry, are working but may not be if the shut down lasts more than two days.

The IRS is probably closed.

Tax filers facing an October 15 deadline will find dead phone lines at the Internal Revenue Service. Does this equate to a tax filing extension? (We hope so!) Passport, patent and trademark offices are open.

However, if a passport agency is located in a government building that's shuttered, the agency may be closed. Rest assured that you can continue to order your favorite Wondercide products throughout the government shutdown.
