Instructions
For household use only. Use around the home including in kitchens, living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, entryways, near trash cans, enclosed patios, and any other indoor areas you see flying insects.
Remove protective liner from both sides of refill and insert refill into device base.
Plug the device into an electrical outlet to activate the light. Place in areas where you commonly see flying insects.
Keep plugged in and let the trap do its work. Continuous protection.
Check cartridge every 2 weeks or as needed.
When refill cartridge is full of bugs, replace the cartridge with a new one. Dispose of the used cartridge by tossing in the trash.
- Check that you've placed the trap in a good location. Be sure the trap is placed where bugs can get to it easily and near bug entry points or activity.
- For larger rooms, consider plugging in two traps on opposites sides of the room.
- Don’t place directly next to a window or door since bugs don’t often turn as soon as they enter the home.
- Places not to put the trap: Behind furniture, curtains, or other objects that would hide the trap from bugs.
- Near competing light sources such as TVs or computer monitors.
- In places exposed to the elements where the trap may get wet.
- Turn off other light sources near the trap at night as much as possible and before your turn in for sleep.
How to recycle
Committed to the planet. Our consciously-formulated products harness the power of nature and wherever possible, we make choices that can reduce impact on the environment, like choosing packing materials that can be recycled.
While the U.S. recycling program has a long way to go, you can make a big difference. Learn what can be recycled in your area, and whether items need to be sorted. On plastic bottles, check the bottom for a number. 1-2 are widely accepted. 4-6 may be accepted. 3 and 7 are generally not recyclable.
Good Questions
Flying insects are instinctually drawn to the continuous Blu-V light and then get stuck on the glue. Because they can’t escape, they die. Check the cartridge about two weeks after you install it. If it’s not full, keep using it. Check again in another two weeks and replace with a new cartridge once full.
No, the trap will not work for common houseflies. It is meant to trap fruit flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and moths. Use Indoor Pest Control to kill flies by contact.
Be sure the trap is placed where bugs can easily reach it and near bug entry points or activity. Don't place the trap where it will be blocked by doors, furniture, or curtains. For larger rooms or spaces, consider plugging in two traps on opposite sides of the room.
Don't place traps near competing light sources, in places exposed to the elements where it can get wet. A bug’s natural path is to continue straight as it enters the home, so don't place it directly next to a window or door.
Consider not putting it next to pet crates. In some cases, the light and bug activity could interfere with a pet’s sleep.
